Raised in Nottingham, Tomos began his photographic journey in earnest during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. With his grandad’s old point-and-shoot, he quickly developed an appreciation for the technical and artistic aspects of photography. Entirely self-taught, he has dipped his toes into several photographic genres, although his first love is portraiture. In close collaboration with the University of Cambridge’s student magazine, Varsity, he has executed numerous fashion and editorial shoots, creating striking images that are notable for their bold light and composition. His subjects include artists, academics, politicians, a British ambassador, and a three-time darts world champion. His commissioned work has been published across a variety of platforms, from poetry anthologies to the Guardian newspaper. In August 2024, Tomos began year-long exchange in Peru, where enjoyed experimenting with 35mm film photography. As he looks to the future, Tomos is excited to work on new projects and continue building his professional portfolio.
